Specified period of casual employment and scope:
- from October 01 – July 31 2027,
- at a rate of pay of $25.00 per hour, less all required statutory deductions and withholdings, paid in arrears monthly
- ad-hoc work and scope as identified and planned with the Scrum Master
However, the employment period may be shorter based on operational requirements or termination for cause. Nothing in this offer should be construed as an offer of term or permanent employment, nor should the Employee in any way plan or anticipate continuing employment with the Company as a result of this offer.
Role Description - Odoo ERP finance, accounting, admin support
Financial Operations & Bookkeeping: Manage routine financial workflows in compliance with CRA guidance, legislation, and recognized accounting standards. Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, monthly bill validations, and the digitization and uploading of physical financial records (invoices, bills, receipts).
Payroll Processing: Accurately administer and execute the monthly payroll cycle for 5 staff members, ensuring full compliance with CRA payroll deductions and statutory requirements.
Tax Compliance: Draft accurate values and supporting documentation for quarterly and monthly provincial and federal tax filings, including GST and PST requirements.
Customer & Vendor Support: In consultation with management, monitor, receive, and respond to customer and vendor inquiries regarding invoices, quotations, and bills.
Financial Reporting: Monitor financial dashboards on an ongoing basis and report variances or anomalies to management.
Fiscal Year-End Preparation: Support management's activities to compile, organize, and reconcile accounts, journals, and supporting documentation of financial records within the ERP for annual review, external review by the corporate accountant. Respond to inquiries from the accountant.
Operational Efficiency: Optimize financial workflows utilizing Odoo ERP’s existing features. Proactively propose and implement improvements to enhance customer/vendor service, financial record-keeping, and reporting quality.
Coaching & Mentorship: Receive ongoing guidance, skill development, and regular check-ins directly from management to support your professional growth and financial accuracy.
Additional Duties: Undertake other administrative or financial tasks as assigned to support organizational goals.
Hours of Work: The Employee’s hours of work may vary and will be those hours necessary to fulfill the monthly financial cycle/routine and reporting. Estimated contributions are 5 hours per week and 30hours per month
The Employee acknowledges that the Employee’s hourly wage is the Employee’s compensation for each scheduled hour worked and the Employee will not be entitled to any additional compensation for hours worked or overtime.
Location of Work: Work is 100% remote. The Employee is not expected to travel to the Company’s onsite location during the term of employment, unless paper financial records are made available for pickup (or are ready to be returned, not to exceed once per month).

Duties to the Company: At all times during the Employee’s employment with the Company, the Employee will: • well and faithfully serve the Company; • act in and promote the best interests of the Company; • devote substantially the whole of the Employee’s planned working time, attention and energies to the business and affairs of the Company; • obtain and maintain all licenses, registrations, permits and approvals required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Employee’s position; • comply with all the Companys' rules, regulations, policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
Skill and Ability: The Employee represents to the Company that he/she has the required skills, knowledge and experience to exercise the duties and responsibilities of the position and that the Employee knows of no legal impediment to working in Canada to perform his/her duties and responsibilities. The Employee will, at the request of the Company, provide documentation satisfactory to the Company confirming the Employee’s professional qualifications and, if applicable, landed immigrant status.
Compensation: Wages are paid on a monthly basis with pay date on the last weekday of the month or the first weekday of the subsequent month.
Benefits: The Company does not offer benefits for casual Employees.
Pension: The Company does not offer pension for casual Employees.
Vacation: The Employee is provided with 4% vacation pay in lieu of leave.
Deductions: The Company will make all required statutory deductions and withholdings from all payments it makes to the Employee.
Company Property: Upon termination or completion of the Employee’s employment, or upon request by the Company at any other time, the Employee will return to the Company all of the Company’s property including, but not limited to all documents, files, manuals, books, customer and supplier lists, software, keys, codes, passes, equipment, computers and all other property belonging to the Company, and the Employee will not retain any copies or reproductions of correspondence, memoranda, reports, notebooks, drawings, photographs or other documents relating in any way to the affairs of the Company which are in the Employee’s possession or control.
Conflict of Interest: The Employee agrees that during the Employee’s employment, the Employee will not engage in any other employment, occupation, consulting or other business activity related to the businesses in which the Company is now involved or become involved during the Employee’s employment, nor will the Employee engage in any other activities that conflict with the Employee’s obligations to the Company.
Confidential Information: “Confidential Information” means, in addition to its meaning under applicable law, all confidential, proprietary or trade secret information of the Company including but not limited to information relating to Company’s:
• know-how, concepts, designs, ideas whether patentable or not, methods, processes, formulae, research, apparatus, standards, strategy, strategic plans, product specifications and processing procedures;
• revenue, costs, pricing and other financial data;
• purchasing, accounting, marketing, selling, or servicing;
• client, supplier, customer or business partner information (including without limitation, names, preferences, financial information, addresses or telephone numbers);
• personnel information;
• access codes, software applications, and object codes, data, documentation, program files, flow charts, operational procedures, but does not include information that:
(i) is or may become generally available to the public other than as a result of disclosure by the Employee;
(ii) was known by the Employee prior to his employment with the Company; or
(iii) is acquired by the Employee from a third party who is not, to the Employee’s knowledge, under an obligation to the Company to keep such information confidential.
The Employee acknowledges that in the course his/her employment with the Company, the Employee will have access to and be entrusted with Confidential Information and that disclosure of Confidential Information to competitors or customers of the Company or to the general public will be highly detrimental to the best interests and business of the Company.
The Employee agrees that while employed by the Company the Employee will keep all Confidential Information strictly confidential and will only disclose such Confidential Information to the extent necessary in the proper performance of his/her duties as an Employee of the Company.
The Employee further agrees that for all time after the end of the Employee’s employment for any reason he/she will continue to keep the Confidential Information strictly confidential and will never use any Confidential Information for any purpose or disclose the Confidential Information to anyone, except as ordered by a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction, with the express written consent of the Company, or if the Confidential Information is already in or enters the public domain through no fault of the Employee.
